Prof Sanjeev Uprety (popular Nepali novelist, art-critic and theatre artist) writes about Sita(A Poem):
“Nandini Sahu presents the story of the Ramayana from Sita’s perspective to show how Sita questions the norms and values of a pre-historic Hindu society from a woman’s position. The long poem deconstructs the traditional understanding of Sita as a suffering, self-sacrificing woman, while reinterpreting her character from a modern, eco-feministic perspective.”

Indian English poet Bibhu Padhi writes about Sita(A Poem): " This long poem is on one of the most respected characters in Indian literature and culture. Its choric voice uses its repetitions and its song-like quality towards a dramatic effect. There is something almost mantric about it. The strength of the poem lies in its lyrical intensity, epic aspirations and its tonal variations. I congratulate Nandini Sahu for her achievement."
